The materials
Natural marble and alabaster
Every shade is cut from natural stone, so the veining and translucency of each piece is its own. Two materials, two kinds of light.
Marble
An opaque stone with defined veining. Cut thin, the shade glows warm where the light passes through and the pattern reads across the surface.
Alabaster
A more translucent stone with a soft, cloudy grain. It carries a gentle, even glow through the whole shade when lit.
