Two shallow bowls turned from alabaster, stacked one above the other on a slim bronze rod and separated by small darkened bronze spheres, with the rod continuing below the lower bowl to a pair of matching spheres at the tip. The stone is the point here: honey-cream and genuinely translucent, so when the fixture is lit the whole form softens and the light seems to come from inside the material rather than through it.
Alabaster diffuses far more gently than marble, which is why the glow reads as warm and even rather than bright. Hung beside a bed it gives a low, restful light; grouped at staggered heights in a stairwell, a corner of a living room, or above a dining table, the repeated rounded shapes build into something sculptural without adding visual weight.
