A vertical half-cylinder of natural marble featuring a smooth, rounded dome cap at the top, mounted flush against a clean backplate that extends slightly below the stone. The marble is a crisp white base crossed by bold, irregular charcoal veining, diffusing internal illumination into a soft, warm glow. Warm light spills primarily downward and outward from the open curve of the shade, washing gently against the mounting wall.
Unlit, it reads as a solid, sculptural stone object resembling a piece of modern art against the plaster; lit, the dark veining comes forward and the stone transforms into a warm vertical column of light.
