Neltu Italian Calacatta Viola Marble Wall Sconce

Product Details

A solid block of natural Calacatta Viola marble, one of the most sought-after stones in Italy — a creamy white ground crossed by bold black and deep violet-purple veins that break into a dramatic net across the surface. The block is open at the top and bottom only, so the light escapes as two clean washes that run up and down the wall, while the stone itself glows quietly wherever it has been cut thin. There is no visible bulb, no trim and no bracket; the stone simply sits against the wall.

Choose the tall rectangle for a slim vertical column of light, or the square block for something more compact and grounded. Both work singly beside a mirror or a bed, and both look their best in a facing pair down a hallway or flanking a doorway. Off, it reads as a piece of sculptural stone; on, the veining lights from behind and the whole block comes alive.

Note

Calacatta Viola is a natural stone, so the veining, color and translucency of every block differ from the photographs — the pattern on yours will be unique to it. Please allow a small variance of 0.4-1.2 in (1-3 cm) in measurement, and note that colors can appear a little different from screen to screen. This fixture is hardwired and not dimmable, and is intended for dry indoor locations; we recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
