Kestu is a single slender column of natural marble, cut to a slim 1.6-inch cylinder and closed at each end with a plain black metal cap. The stone is a high-contrast cream and ivory crossed by bold charcoal veining that runs the length of the tube, and because every shade is cut from real marble the pattern lands differently on each piece, so no two are the same. A fine black cord and a small knurled cord grip are the only visible hardware, which leaves nothing to compete with the stone.
Switched on, the marble turns luminous from the inside: the pale ground glows warm while the dark veins hold their weight, so the pattern reads more strongly lit than unlit. Switched off, it settles back into a quiet cream-and-charcoal silhouette barely 1.6 inches across. A touch on/off switch is built in, and the suspension cord adjusts to 70.9 inches. At 11 inches tall the column hangs comfortably on its own beside a bed or a console, and repeats cleanly in a row over an island or a stairwell.
