A short drum of natural marble, cut thin so the dark landscape veining reads as a warm horizon once the light is on. Above it sit three rounded marble beads deep green at the base, then honey-cream, then terracotta on top stacked like pebbles balanced on a riverbank and strung on a slim black cord. The veining and the tone of each bead belong to the block they were cut from, so no two fixtures are quite the same.
It is a small fixture that does a lot of work. Off, the color stack gives it presence against a plain wall. On, the drum turns amber and the veining becomes the pattern in the room, throwing a soft downward pool rather than a broad wash. It reads well hung singly or run in a line at even spacing.
